Description
The Dodge WC51, a prominent member of the Dodge WC series, was a versatile and robust military utility truck produced during World War II. Often nicknamed a “Weapons Carrier,” it was a 3/4-ton, four-wheel-drive vehicle designed to transport troops, supplies, and light artillery. It was known for its simplicity, ruggedness, and ease of maintenance, making it a reliable workhorse on all fronts.
The WC51 featured an open-cab pickup body and was powered by a 6-cylinder engine. It was distinct from the very similar WC52 model, which was equipped with a front-mounted winch. The Dodge WC series, which included ambulances, command cars, and other variants, played a crucial role in the Allied war effort, second only to the iconic Jeep in its contribution to light military transport.
Set consists of 15 fine metal 1:600th/3mm scale miniatures.
