Description
The M109 is an American 155 mm turreted self-propelled howitzer, first introduced in the early 1960s to replace the M44. It has been upgraded a number of times,. The M109 family is the most common Western indirect-fire support weapon of maneuver brigades of armored and mechanized infantry divisions.
In 1983, the German Army purchased 586 conversion kits from the FMS Corporation to convert its fleet of M109Gs to the M109A3G standard. This upgraded variant uses a new gun barrel developed by Rheinmetall, giving an extended range of 24 kilometers. It also features a new fire-control system, and three forward firing 76 mm smoke grenade launchers on either side of the turret.
Set consists of 15 fine 3D-printed models. Models are sold with print supports and need side-cutters and hobby knife to remove them.
