Description
A UH-1 “Heavy Frog” was a modified Bell UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) helicopter, specifically a UH-1C variant, that was equipped with side-mounted XM-158 twin rocket pods, each carrying seven 2.75-inch rockets, giving it significant firepower for the gunship role during the Vietnam War. These heavily armed Hueys provided escort and fire support for other aircraft and ground patrols, often being used to clear the way for troop transport helicopters like the “Slicks”.
Set consists of 8 fine 3D-printed 1:600th/3mm scale models. Models are sold with print supports and need side-cutters and hobby knife to remove them. Rotor discs printed on transparent foil included.
